CLIA - Medical / Lab Director
Description:
The Director of Laboratory Operations is a key position in the company's CLIA laboratory business. The incumbent is responsible for the overall administration of the company’s CLIA Lab Services in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing provision of CLIA-compliancy and clinical services. The incumbent will lead a team of scientists with expertise in assay development for oncology diagnostics tests.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall administration of the laboratory, including the employment of personnel with experience in test procedures, accurate recording / reporting of test results, and compliance experience with applicable regulations.
Adheres to CLIA guidelines and implemented all required documents.
Ensures that the CLIA laboratory meets and maintains clinical laboratory national and state accreditation requirements.
Implement all lab documents, review test data and provide certification of test results.
Interface with company leadership teams to ensure that laboratory work is coordinated and integrated into company's strategic goals.
Work closely with the Technical Supervisor to review quality control and quality assessment activities to identify and correct any problems in a timely manner consistent with regulatory guidelines.
Ensure that physical and environmental conditions in the laboratory are appropriate for the testing performed and adhere to employee safety requirements.
Requirements:
PhD or MD with a minimum of two- three years of clinical laboratory experience in a small start-up diagnostics lab and specific experience with test based on liquid extraction, high-throughput HPLC and Mass-Spec.
The ideal candidate must meet the Laboratory Director qualifications specified in the CLIA regulations and those required by the State of Massachusetts.
Detailed knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory CLIA/CAP requirements.
Ability to effectively develop and implement clinical laboratory requirements in a dynamic life sciences environment.
Desirable: FDA 510K regulatory experience.
This position is a part time position for the first 6 months of operation. However, it might be converted to a full time.

Purification
Description:
The individual's primary responsibilities will involve development
of multi-liter processes for efficient purification of recombinant
cytokines. You will be also involved in protein expression, recovery
and analysis.
Qualifications:
* A BS/MS in Biochemistry and at least two years of experience with
protein purification covering TFF, LC, HPLC, ELISA and Western is
required
* Previous experience in culture mammalian / insect cells would
be useful.

Description:
The individual's primary responsibilities will involve development of efficient cell culture processes for the commercial production of recombinant cytokines and monoclonal antibodies. You will be also involved in the development and implementation of cell-based bioassays, as well as development of serum-free media.
Qualifications
* A BS/MS in Biology / Biochemistry and at least two years of experience with cell culture mammalian / insect cells, hybridoma development , transfection and screening is required.
* Previous experience with Bioreactor, Bioassay, ELISA, Western and protein purification would be useful.
