Active Soluble Fas Ligand
SBH Sciences soluble Fas Ligand is a soluble 19.9 kDa protein containing 175 amino acid
residues, comprising of the extracellular domain of FasL (amino acids Leu 107 to Leu 281).
The activation of our soluble form of FasL might be due to the presence of the extracellular
residues 107-134, which are not expressed, in other commercial Fas Ligand. This explanation
is supported by Hohlbaum et al.
Soluble FasL construct is involved in multimerization of FasL in solution or on the target
cell surface which is necessary for efficient activation of the caspase cascade.
